Chris Ward is Senior Partner at Ward Health, a global consultancy based in Hamilton, Canada and Washington DC.
Chris has worked extensively on issues related to access to medical innovation throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and in several developing countries. His publication credentials include a study that he co-authored on consumer involvement in Health Technology Assessment, which was published in the International Journal of Health Policy. He has also written for Managed Care magazine on the issue of drug re-importation and most recently for Pharmaceutical Executive Global Digest on the challenges of developing biosimilars in India.
Previously, Chris Ward held a number of elected offices in Canada. As Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health in Ontario he was responsible for carriage of the legislation that established the Ontario Drug Benefit Plan, Canada's largest publicly funded drug benefit program. Subsequently, he became Minister of Education and eventually Government House Leader.
