3rd Global Patients Congress

The International Alliance of Patients Organizations (IAPO) Global Patients Congress is a unique event for leading patient advocates and key stakeholders in health. The overarching theme of this years Congress (talking place in Budapest, Hungary) is IAPOs vision of patient-centred healthcare worldwide, with a special focus on how patient involvement at all levels of decision-making can help to align healthcare systems with patients needs.

Ward Health Strategies will present the results of a collaborative study which examined the degree to which the five principles embedded in IAPOs declaration on patient-centered healthcare are being advocated and utilized in the asthma patient-provider relationship in five countries. The report (Patient-Centered Care: Does Asthma Pass the Test?) was published in the Journal of Medical and Biological Sciences.
