Elisabeth Fowler has extensive health care experience in health policy, marketing research and promotion, pharmaceutical sales, and stakeholder and professional relations. Elisabeth has a Bachelor of Science from Concordia University, and an MBA from McGill University (Marketing Major), and a Diploma in Institutional Administration (Specialization-Health) from Concordia University.
Prior to joining World Health Advocacy, she was Director of Partnership Development and Acting Director of Provincial Government Affairs (Quebec) for Rx&D, the association that represents the innovative pharmaceutical industry in Canada. At Rx&D she was responsible for developing and implementing national stakeholder and professional relations strategies. Elisabeth is also the co-creator of the Patient Pathways web site as well as Editor of the stakeholder outreach newsletter. Previously in her career, Elisabeth was a marketing and sales representative for McNeil Consumer Products and spent six years working in the not-for-profit sector.
Steven is an expert in planning and executing successful communications campaigns. His areas of specialization also include issues management, event planning, brand building, sponsorships and strategic marketing communications planning.
Prior to joining World Health Advocacy, he worked for two major public relations agencies, managing communications programs for a range of clients, including: the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, the Florida Department of Citrus and the American Peanut Council.
James provides innovative web design, system architecture and technical services for a variety of clients including patient organizations, pharma companies and health provider organizations.
James has extensive experience in managing successful alliance development campaigns including patient workshops on Global IP in South America and in Europe and “reverse bus trips” of patients from Canada to the U.S. to highlight access barriers inherent in a single payer health care system.
Nisha Branch has a background in public health research and health policy analysis and in May will complete her Masters of Public Health (MPH) at the George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, DC. She has been active in the GWU student government serving as the vice president of the student association, a co-chair in the medical center student association, and currently represents the School of Public Health and Health Services as a Student Senator in the university’s Student Association.
Since graduating from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Nisha has conducted research in pediatric Sickle Cell Disease, and pediatric oncology at leading children’s hospitals in Philadelphia, PA, and Washington, DC. Most recently Nisha was the Program Manager for the Metropolitan Washington Public Health Association (MWPHA), the regional affiliate of the American Public Health Association. During her time at MWPHA Nisha focused on advocacy, building stakeholder relationships, and development of the organization.
