The global burden of NCDs

An overview of the global impact of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) - the biggest cause of death worldwide.  The social and economic impacts of NCDs were the focus of a UN High-Level Meeting in September of 2011, are a key topic of the 130th WHO Executive Board meeting (Jan. 16 - 23, 2012) and will be highlighted at the 2012 World Health Assembly.
